Before the FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Washington, D.C. 20554 In the Matter of DA 95-186 Assessment and Collection of Regulatory Fees for Fiscal Year 1995 MD Docket No. 95-3 0 RD ER Adopted: February 8, 1995; Released: February 9, 1995 By the General Counsel 1. The Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA) has filed a "Motion for Extension of Time" in the above captioned proceeding. PCIA requests the Commission to extend the comment deadline to March 1, 1995 from February 13, 1995, and to extend the reply comment deadline to March 16, 1995 from February 28, 1995. In PCIA's view, the requested extensions are necessary in order to permit the development of a full and accurate record in the proceeding, based upon information that it has requested from the Commission pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, filed on Febru~ry 6, 1995. 5 u.s.c. § 552. 2. We decline to grant PCIA's motion because we do not find that its interest in postponing the comment period outweighs the public interest in assuring that the regulatory fees that Congress has required that we collect for Fiscal Year 1995 will be collected in a timely fashion. See 47 U".S.C. § 159. However, we note that PCIA may present any additional comments it may have concerning matters in this proceeding by an informal submission to the Commission. see 47 C.F.R. § 1.1206. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, that, pursuant to authority delegated in section 0.251 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. § 0.251, the Motion for Extension of Time, filed on February 6, 1995; by the Personal Communications Industry Association, IS DENIED.
