On March 28, 1996, TCI Cablevision of East County, California ("TCI-EC"), the operator of a cable television system serving the County of Contra Costa,-California ("County"), filed with the Commission an appeal of a local rate order adopted by the County on February 27, 1996. The rate order established TCI-EC's rates for basic cable service, equipment, installations and hourly service charges pursuant to theˇ Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992.1 2. On April 12, 1996, TCI-EC filed with the Commission a motion to dismiss its earlier-filed appealˇ. No opposition to the motion to dismiss has been filed by the Counfy. Therefore, TCI-EC's motion to dismiss its appeal is granted. ˇ 3.
