1. On September 19, 1996, MCI Telecommunications Corporation ("MCI") filed a 
Motion for Extension of Page Limit. It requests that the Commission waive the page 
limitation, set forth in section 1.429(d) of the Commission's rules,1 that applies to petitions 
for reconsideration of the Commission's Interconnection Order, released on August 8, 1996.2 
MCI argues that the "multiplicity and complexity of issues raised by the Order" makes it 
impossible to fully discuss all points that need to be reconsidered or clarified in 25 pages. 
MCI therefore requests that the Commission extend the limit normally governing a petition 
for reconsideration to 50 pages in this instance.
2. We agree with MCI that interested parties should be given sufficient opportunity 
to provide meaningful comments and necessary information regarding the Interconnection 
Order. The length of the order and complexity of issues presented may require greater 
discussion than the typical Commission order. We therefore grant MCI's motion and will 
extend the page limits applicable to petitions for reconsideration of the Commission's

Interconnection Order to 50 pages. This extension applies to all panics filing petitions for 
reconsideration of the Interconnection Order.
3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, that the Motion for Extension of Page Limit is 
hereby GRANTED and the limit applicable to all parties filing petitions for reconsideration 
of the Commission's Interconnection Order is hereby extended to 50 pages.
