1. The Commission considers herein the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 11 FCC Red 
8678 (1996), issued in response to a petition for rule making filed on behalf of Roger L. Hoppe, 
II ("petitioner") proposing the allotment of FM Channel 229A to Limon, Colorado, as that 
community's second local FM transmission service. Petitioner filed supporting comments in 
response to the Notice. No other comments were received.
2. In view of the interest expressed in providing a second local FM transmission service 
to Limoa we will allot Channel 229A to that community, as requested.
3. As stated in the Notice, Channel 229A can be allotted to Limon in conformity with 
the minimum distance separation requirements of Section 73.207(bXO of the Commission's 
Rules, without a site restrictioa utilizing the city reference location at coordinates North Latitude 
39-15-36 and West Longitude 103-41-12.
4. Accordingly, pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 4(i). 5(cXl), 303(g) and 
(r) and 307(b) of the Communications Act of 1934. as amended and Sections 0.61. 0.204(b) and 
0.283 of the Commission's Rules. IT IS ORDERED. That eftective December 9. 1996. the FM 
Table of Allotments, Section 73.202(b) of the Commission's Rules, IS AMENDED with respect 
to Limon, Colorado, as follows:

5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That this proceeding IS TERMINATED.
6. The window period for filing applications for Channel 229A at Limon. Colorado, will 
open on December 9, 1996, and close on January 9. 1997.
