1. The Commission considers herein the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 11 FCC Red 
9859 (1996), issued in response to a petition for rule making filed by Arkansas Radio 
Broadcasters ("petitioner") proposing the allotment of FM Channel 268 A to El Dorado, Arkansas, 
as that community's fifth local FM transmission service. Petitioner filed supporting comments 
in response to the Notice. No other comments were received.
2. In view of the interest expressed in providing an additional local FM transmission 
service to El Dorado, we will allot Channel 268A to that community, as requested.
3. As stated in the Notice, Channel 268A can be allotted to El Dorado in conformity with 
the minimum distance separation requirements of Section 73.207(b)(l) of the Commission's 
Rules, provided the transmitter therefor is located at least 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) southeast of 
the community. Coordinates at the reference site for Channel 268A are North Latitude 33-10-27 
and West Longitude 92-38-55.'
4. Accordingly, pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 4(i), 5(c)(l), 303(g) and 
(r) and 307(b) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and Sections 0.61, 0.204(b) and 
0.283 of the Commission's Rules, IT IS ORDERED, That effective December 16, 1996, the FM 
Table of Allotments, Section 73.202(b) of the Commission's Rules, IS AMENDED with respect 
to El Dorado, Arkansas, as follows:
'The site restriction is required to avoid a short-spacing to the allotment reference site for Channel 269C2, Hope, 
Arkansas, at coordinates 33-40-15 and 93-37-10, as well as to the authorized site of Station KBSA(FM), Channel 
215C3, El Dorado, Arkansas, at coordinates 33-16-19 and 92-42-12.

5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That this proceeding IS TERMINATED.
6. The window period for filing applications for Channel 268A at El Dorado, Arkansas,
