The Texas PUCT requests that the Federal Commission Communications declare whether certain provision of the Texas Public Regulatory Act of 1995 violate sections 253(a) and (b) of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and are thereby preempted. Interested parties should file comments on the Texas PUCT petition by June 14, 1996, and reply comments by July 1, 1996, with the Secretary, FCC, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
