On May 23, 1997, Sonitrol Southeast, Inc., pursuant to Section 34(a){1) of the Public UbTlly Holding 
Company Ad. of 1935 ('PUHCA'1, as added by Section 103oftheTelecommunic;dtionsAd.of1996, Pub. L 
No. 104-104, filed an application requesting a Commission determination that it is et• "exempt 
telecommunications company" ('EfC'1. Sonitrol Southeast is a wholly-OWned subsidiary of Sentry AlamlS 
Systems of America, Inc., which, in tum, is a wholly-OWned subsidiary of Sentry Management Corporation an 
Exempt Teleoommunications Company under Section 34(a)(1) of PUHCA (see SentJy Management 
Corporation, Order, DA 96-1926, File No. EfC 96-17, Released November 19, 1996). 
Persons wishing to file comments regarding the adequacy or accuracy of Sonitrol Southeast's 
application requesting status as an EfC must do so no later than· June 11, 1997. All comments should also 
be seived on the applicant Reply commen1s must be filed no later than June 18, 1997. All filings concerning 
any of the matters referenced in this Public Notice should refer to File No. EfC-97-9. The application will be 
available for public inspection Monday through Friday in Room 658, 1919 M St, N.W., Washington, D.C.
