WASHINGTON, D.C. 20554_________________________________DA 97-897 News media information 202/418-0500 Fax-On-Demand 202/418-2830 Internet: hrtp://www.fcc.govftp.fcc.gov Released: April 28, 1997 In the Matter of 1993 Annual Access Tariff Filings, CC Docket No. 93-193, Phase 1, Part 2; GSF Order Compliance Filings; In the Matter of 1994 Annual Access Tariff Filings, CC Docket No. 94-65; In the Matter of 1995 Annual Access Tariff Filings; In the Matter of 1996 Annual access Tariff Filings Motion for Extension of Time to File Amended 1997 Tariff Review Plans On April 24, 1997, the Bell Atlantic Telephone Companies (Bell Atlantic), Pacific Telesis Group (Pacific), and U S West Communications, Inc. (U S West) jointly filed a motion for extension of time to file amended 1997 Tariff Review Plans, as required by paragraph 108 of the Commission's Memorandum Opinion and Order.' released April 17, 1997. Bell Atlantic, Pacific, and U S West state that their burden is greater than other affected local exchange carriers (LECs) due to the number of issues to be addressed by these companies. In addition to LBDB, the only issue to be addressed by most companies, U S West must also address its Dial Equipment Minutes exogenous impact; Bell Atlantic its calculation of "g"; and Bell Atlantic and Pacific, the omission of end-user revenues in the Common Line Basket for sharing purposes. Bell Atlantic, Pacific, and U S West note that completing this effort in two weeks would require extraordinary effort and that many people involved in the effort will be simultaneously involved in preparing the LECs' responses to the Commission's Order on Reconsideration in the 800 Data Base proceeding, due May 14, 1997, and the responses to Comments filed April 23, 1997, on the LECs' Tariff Review Plan filings of April 2, 1997, due April 30, 1997. The Bell Atlantic Telephone Companies, Pacific Telesis Group and U S West have shown good cause why their joint motion to extend the filing date to file amended 1997 Tariff Review Plans. The Competitive Pricing Division has granted, by stamp, the petitioners motion to extend the filing date to May 8, 1997. -FCC- 1 In the Matter of 1993 Annual Access Tariff Filings: GSF Order Compliance Filings: In the Matter of 1994 Annual Access Tariff Filings: In the Matter of 1995 Annual Access Tariff Filings: In the Matter of 1996 Annual Access Tariff Filings.
