FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 1, 2000 WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES COMMERCIAL WIRELESS DIVISION PERSONNEL ACTION The following personnel action has been announced in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau’s Commercial Wireless Division: Lauren Kravetz Named Special Counsel: Lauren H. Kravetz has been named Special Counsel in the Wireless Bureau’s Commercial Wireless Division. Since March 1999 she has served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Policy and Rules Branch of the Division, leading the Division’s review of major transactions involving wireless licenses. Prior to joining the Commission, Kravetz was senior associate at the law firm of Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy LLP, and she has also worked at the law firms of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey and Heron, Burchette, Ruckert & Rothwell. Kravetz has served as President of the Washington, D. C. chapter of American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT) and recently completed a term as a National Director of AWRT. Kravetz holds a J. D. from Georgetown University, where she was a member of the Editorial Board of the American Criminal Law Review, and a B.
