 FURCHTGOTT-  ROTH  PRAISES  POWELL  SELECTION 
 Congratulations  to  my  colleague  and  friend  Commissioner  Michael  Powell  on  his 
 selection  as  FCC  Chairman.  President  Bush  has  made  an  excellent  choice. 
 Commissioner  Powell  is  a  proven  leader  in  the  communications  industry  and  will  bring 
 his  sharp  intellect  and  substantial  energy  to  the  Chairmanship.  I  look  forward  to 
 continuing  our  work  together  in  the  new  administration.
