 1.  This  Errata  corrects  errors  in  the  text  and  rules  of  An  Inquiry  Into  the  Commission’s  Policies  and 
 Rules  Regarding  AM  Radio  Service  Directional  Antenna  Performance  Verification,  Report  and  Order 
 and  Further  Notice  of  Proposed  Rulemaking,  MM  Docket  No.  93-  177  (released  March  7,  2001).  The  text 
 and  rules  will  be  published  as  corrected  in  the  Federal  Register  and  FCC  Record. 


 2.  The  released  text  of  paragraphs  54-  56  are  replaced  with  the  following: 
 54.  Accordingly,  IT  IS  ORDERED,  That  pursuant  to  the  authority  contained  in  Sections  4(  I),  4(  j),  303, 
 308,  309,  310  and  319  of  the  Communications  Act  of  1934,  as  amended,  47  U.  S.  C.  Sec.  154(  I),  154(  j), 
 303,  308,  309,  310,  and  319,  the  Commission’s  rules  ARE  AMENDED  as  set  forth  in  Appendix  D. 


 55.  IT  IS  FURTHER  ORDERED,  That  the  rule  amendments  set  forth  in  Appendix  D  WILL  BECOME 
 EFFECTIVE  30  days  after  their  publication  in  the  Federal  Register,  following  OMB  approval,  unless  a 
 notice  is  published  in  the  Federal  Register  stating  otherwise. 


 56.  IT  IS  FURTHER  ORDERED,  That  the  Commission’s  Consumer  Information  Bureau,  Reference 
 Information  Center,  SHALL  SEND  a  copy  of  this  Notice,  including  both  the  Initial  and  Final  Regulatory 
 Flexibility  Analyses,  to  the  Chief  Counsel  for  Advocacy  of  the  Small  Business  Administration.

 3.  The  released  text  of  47  C.  F.  R.  §  73.154(  b)  is  amended  by  revising  the  first  sentence  of  paragraph  (b) 
 to  read  as  follows: 


 §  73.154  AM  directional  antenna  partial  proof  of  performance  measurements.

 (b)  The  measurements  are  to  be  made  within  3  to  15  kilometers  from  the  center  of  the  antenna  array.  ***

 4.  The  released  text  of  47  C.  F.  R.  §  73.151(  a)(  3)  is  amended  to  read  as  follows: 
 §  73.151  Field  strength  measurements  to  establish  performance  of  directional  antennas. 
 (a)  *** 
 (3)  A  monitoring  point  shall  be  established  on  each  radial  for  which  the  construction  permit  limits 
 the  radiated  field.  The  following  information  shall  be  supplied  for  each  monitoring  point: 
 (i)  Measured  field  strength. 
 (ii)  An  accurate  and  detailed  description  of  each  monitoring  point.  The  description  may 
 include,  but  shall  not  be  limited  to,  geographic  coordinates  determined  with  a  Global 
 Positioning  System  receiver. 
 (iii)  Clear  photographs  taken  with  the  field  strength  meter  in  its  measuring  position  and  with 
 the  camera  so  located  that  its  field  of  view  takes  in  as  many  pertinent  landmarks  as 
 possible.
