 SATELLITE  COMMUNICATIONS  SERVICES 


 The  applications  listed  herein  have  been  found,  upon  initial  review,  to  be  acceptable  for  filing.  The  Commission  reserves 
 the  right  to  return  any  of  the  applications  if,  upon  further  examination,  it  is  determined  they  are  defective  and  not  in 
 conformance  with  the  Commission's  Rules  and  Regulations  and  its  Policies.  Final  action  will  not  be  taken  on  any  of  these

 Class  of  Station: 


 Verestar,  Inc.: 


 Special  Temporary  Authority  request  for  authority  beginning  from  May  6,  2001,  to  conduct  in-  orbit  tests  and  integration  system  tests 
 at  its  five  TT&  C  earth  stations  located  at  Brewster,  Washington,  in  support  of  the  launch  of  the  United  Kingdom-  licensed  ICO  F-  2 
 mobile  satellite  systems.  The  tests  will  be  performed  on  the  entire  81.6  MHZ  of  the  5  GHz  and  the  86.2  MHZ  of  the  7  GHz 
 feeder-  link  bands,  and  the  2  GHz  mobile  satellite  service  band. 


 Comments,  petitions,  or  informal  objections  regarding  these  applications  may  be  filed  on  or  before  May  7,  2001.  Replies  to  comments 
 and  oppositions  to  petitions  or  informal  objections  may  be  filed  on  or  before  May  17,  2001.  Responses  may  be  filed  on  or  before  May
