FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Press Contact: May 10, 2001 Bryan Tramont at (202) 418- 2000 FURCHTGOTT- ROTH STAFF CHANGES FOR THE HOME STRETCH FCC Commissioner Harold Furchtgott- Roth announces that Bryan Tramont, his Senior Legal Advisor, will be leaving his office to become Chief of Staff in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. “Bryan has set the standard for Senior Legal Advisors. His service in my office has been outstanding, and the Wireless Bureau is fortunate to have him as Chief of Staff” Furchtgott- Roth said. Katie King, most recently an Attorney Advisor in the Commission’s Common Carrier Bureau, will be joining the Commissioner’s staff as Senior Legal Advisor with responsibility for wireless and international issues for the remainder of his tenure. Prior to joining the Commission, she served as Majority Communications Counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Larry Pressler. Katie was one of the principal congressional staff members on the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Commissioner Furchtgott- Roth commented that, “I am fortunate that someone of Katie’s abilities is willing to join my staff.
