DOUGLAS NAMED ASSOCIATE CHIEF FOR PROGRAM COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT IN CONSUMER INFORMATION BUREAU Washington, DC -- Barbara J. Douglas has been named Associate Chief for Program Coordination and Management in the Consumer Information Bureau (CIB). She will serve as Chief- of- Staff to the Bureau Chief. Douglas joins the CIB from her position as vice president with America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth, a national not- for- profit organization. At America's Promise, she developed and managed relationships and supervised outreach efforts with key corporate, philanthropic, not- for- profit and faith- based organizations. Douglas also served as a project director with the National Center for Neighborhood Enterprise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in low- income communities become self- sufficient through public policy, leadership training and economic development initiatives. K. Dane Snowden, Chief of CIB, said, "I am delighted to have Barbara join the bureau. She brings a wide range of legal and non- legal knowledge and experience, with an emphasis on customer relations, outreach to targeted populations and groups, and a dedication to excellence, all of which is critical to our work in the bureau. Prior to her service in the not- for- profit sector, Douglas was an associate with the law firm of Patton, Boggs & Blow in Washington, DC, and Baltimore, where she practiced civil litigation and administrative law.
