On August 3, 2001, the Commission released an Order and Authorization authorizing Pegasus Development Corporation to launch and operate a satellite system in geostationary-satellite orbit to provide fixed- satellite services in the Ka- band. 1 The Order refers to system service links in the 28.35- 28.6 GHz and 29.5- 30.0 GHz frequency bands for uplink (Earth- to-space) communications and the 18.35- 18.6 GHz and 19.7- 20.2 GHz frequency bands for downlink (space- to- Earth) communications. All references to the system service link bands are corrected to the 28.35- 28.60 GHz and 29.25- 30.0 GHz frequency bands for uplink communications and the 18.3- 18.8 GHz and 19.7- 20.2 GHz frequency bands for downlink communications as reflected in the following revisions. 2. The first two sentences of paragraph 4 are corrected as follows (footnotes omitted): Pegasus proposes to use spectrum in the 28.35- 28.60 GHz and 29.25- 30.0 GHz frequency bands for uplink (Earth- to- space) communications.
