Kenneth Ferree, chief of the Cable Services Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission, announced today that Paul Gallant, legal advisor to former FCC Commissioner Gloria Tristani, will become the new Special Advisor to the Chief of the Cable Services Bureau, effective today. Gallant brings a range of communications experience to the Cable Services Bureau. Most recently, he served as a legal advisor to Commissioner Tristani on cable and broadcasting issues. Prior to that he held in- house counsel positions at Qwest Communications International and at BroadBand Office, Inc. In a previous tour of duty at the FCC, he served as a common carrier advisor to Commissioner Tristani and Commissioner James Quello. Gallant also held attorney- advisor positions in the Cable Services Bureau, Common Carrier Bureau, and Office of the General Counsel. CSB Chief Ferree said, “I am pleased that Paul has decided to work in the bureau.
