FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE News Media Contact: September 18, 2001 Meribeth McCarrick: (202) 418- 0654 E- mail: mmccarri@ fcc. gov FCC ANNOUNCES AUCTIONS WEBSITE REDESIGN Washington, DC – The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announces the redesign of its Auct ions website (www. fcc. gov/ wtb/ auctions). The new design provides consumers with a simplified layout and easier navigation. The new design allows visitors to easily find important information about upcoming auctions, how auctions are conducted, and how to become a qualified bidder. Every auction has its own webpage that presents a summary of the auction, as well as links to results, maps, bandplans, tracking tools, releases, and major public notices such as those announcing important auction procedures or winning bidders. The Schedule page provides key dates for upcoming auctions, and the Summary page shows licenses auctioned and won, number of rounds, and net high bids for completed auctions. Note that because of the extensive nature of the redesign, many webpages have moved. If you have trouble finding a particular Auctions webpage, return to the Auctions homepage (www. fcc. gov/ wtb/ auctions) to find the links to the new location.
