 SAT-  WAV-  20010906-  00079  SPACEDATA  INTERNATIONAL  LLC  (SDI) 


 On  September  9,  2001,  SpaceData  International,  LLC  filed  a  waiver  request  to  permit  the  operation  of  earth  stations  on  vessels  closer  than  100  mk  from  any  coastline.  In  its  request, 
 SDI  indicated  that  the  closest  the  Western  Patriot  vessel  would  be  to  the  shore  would  be  52  miles.  (See  Public  Notice,  SAT-  00084  (released  September  14,  2001)).  There  was  an  error 
 in  the  calculation  and  the  correct  minimum  distance  from  shore  of  the  Western  Patriot  should  be  32.5  kilometers,  which  is  20.31  miles.

 Constellation  Communications  Holdings,  Inc.  has  filed  an  amendment  to  its  pending  application  for  modification  of  the  milestone  schedule  established  for  its  above  1  GHz  Low  Earth  Orbit 
 Mobile  Satellite  Service  satellite  system.  Constellation  requests  an  extension  of  (1)  the  two  satellite  construction  completion  milestone  to  July  2002;  (2)  the  system  construction  completion 
 milestone  to  July  2003;  and  (3)  the  system  operational  status  milestone  to  July  2005.
