In its request, SDI indicated that the closest the Western Patriot vessel would be to the shore would be 52 miles. (See Public Notice, SAT- 00084 (released September 14, 2001)). There was an error in the calculation and the correct minimum distance from shore of the Western Patriot should be 32.5 kilometers, which is 20.31 miles. Comments are now due SEPTEMBER 24, 2001.
