C. – Today, Common Carrier Bureau Chief Dorothy Attwood made the following personnel announcements. Eric Einhorn has been appointed Deputy Division Chief of the Accounting Policy Division of the Common Carrier Bureau. Mr. Einhorn has been Acting Deputy Chief of the Accounting Policy Division since April 2001. After joining the Commission in January 1999, Mr. Einhorn served as Attorney Advisor in the Policy and Program Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau, where he was the team leader for the Verizon Massachusetts 271 proceeding. He also worked on various other competition policy matters including mergers, privacy issues, and other 271 proceedings. Before joining the FCC, Mr. Einhorn was an associate at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, LLP in Washington, D. C. in the Telecommunications Group and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City specializing in litigation. After graduating from law school, Mr. Einhorn served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Roger G. Strand of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Mr. Einhorn received his J. D. cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1995, where he was an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review. Mr. Einhorn received a B. S. from Cornell University in 1992. John Stanley has been appointed Assistant Division Chief of the Policy and Program Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau. Since May 1999, Mr. Stanley served as Attorney Advisor in the Policy and Program Planning Division, where he was the team leader for the Virginia Arbitration proceeding and the SBC Kansas/ Oklahoma 271 proceeding. He also worked on 271 proceedings for SBC Texas and Bell Atlantic New York. Additionally, Mr. Stanley worked on the SBC/ Ameritech and Bell Atlantic/ GTE merger orders. 1 Before joining the FCC, Mr. Stanley was an attorney at Wiley, Rein & Fielding in the Telecommunications Practice. He currently is on the Steering Committee for DC Bar's Computer & Telecommunications Law Section. Mr. Stanley received his J. D. from University of Michigan in 1996, and his B. A. from Harvard College in 1990.
