 OFFICE  OF  THE  SECRETARY  ANNOUNCES  PERSONNEL  CHANGES 


 The  Office  of  the  Secretary  is  pleased  to  announce  the  following  personnel  changes. 
 Ruth  A.  Dancey  has  joined  the  Office  of  the  Secretary  as  Special  Assistant  to  the 
 Secretary.  In  this  capacity,  Ms.  Dancey  participates  in  the  development  of  long-  range  plans  to 
 address  major  program  objectives  for  the  Office  of  the  Secretary,  and  provides  guidance  on 
 methods  to  improve  the  efficiency  of  the  programs  and  activities  carried  out  by  the  Office. 
 Ms.  Dancey  brings  to  her  new  position  knowledge  and  experience  in  critical  areas  pertaining  to 
 human  resources  management  and  work  processes  design  and  implementation. 


 Sheryl  A.  Segal  has  been  named  Associate  Secretary  for  Information  Resources. 
 Ms.  Segal’s  new  title  acknowledges  her  critical  role  in  the  design  and  implementation  of 
 document  management  systems  to  facilitate  the  agency’s  decision  making  process.  Ms.  Segal’s 
 most  recent  accomplishment  is  the  development  of  the  Electronic  Document  Management  System 
 (EDOCS),  which  provides  immediate  access  to  FCC  documents  via  the  FCC  Daily  Digest  and  the 
 EDOCS  query.  Before  joining  the  Office  of  the  Secretary  in  1999,  Ms.  Segal  also  completed  the 
 development  and  implementation  of  the  Electronic  Comment  Filing  System  (ECFS)  and  the 
 Digital  Index.
