C. – Today, Dorothy Attwood, Bureau Chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Wireline Competition Bureau, made the following personnel announcements. Eric Einhorn has been named Acting Chief of the Telecommunications Access Policy Division. Mr. Einhorn will serve as Acting Chief for Katherine Schroder, who will be on parental leave through the end of the year. Mr. Einhorn has been Deputy Chief of the Telecommunications Access Policy Division since April 2001, with responsibility for issues relating to high- cost universal service support, contribution methodology and advanced services. After joining the Commission in January 1999, Mr. Einhorn served as Attorney Advisor in the Policy and Program Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau, where he was the team leader for the Verizon Massachusetts 271 proceeding. He also worked on various other competition policy matters including mergers, privacy issues, and other 271 proceedings. Before joining the FCC, Mr. Einhorn was an associate at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, LLP in Washington, D. C. in the Telecommunications Group and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City specializing in litigation. After graduating from law school, Mr. Einhorn served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Roger G. Strand of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Mr. Einhorn received his J. D. cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1995, where he was an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review. Mr. Einhorn received a B. S. from Cornell University in 1992. Diane Law Hsu has been named Acting Deputy Chief of the Telecommunications Access Policy Division, with responsibility for contribution methodology and advanced services. Ms. Law Hsu rejoined the FCC as an Attorney Advisor in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division in November 2001, handling issues relating to the definition of services supported by universal service, contribution methodology and advanced services. 1 Before rejoining the FCC, Ms. Law Hsu served as a regulatory and commercial attorney with Lucent Technologies. After graduating from law school, Ms. Law Hsu worked for the FCC in the Office of General Counsel, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, and the Common Carrier Bureau. Ms. Law Hsu covered spectrum auction and universal service contribution methodology issues. Ms. Law Hsu received her J. D. from Harvard Law School in 1994 and her B.
