Dane Snowden, the chief of the FCC’s Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau, will visit Technology Resources, Inc. (TRI), in Austin, TX. TRI is the research and development division of SBC Communications, Inc. It provides technology consulting and expertise to the SBC family of companies, including in the area of telecommunications access for people with disabilities. Snowden will tour the facility and observe a demonstration of screen reading software by persons with vision disabilities. Snowden will also meet with representatives of the Coalition for Texans with Disabilities at TRI. The Coalition will update him on its current activities. - FCC - 1
