C. – Today, William Maher, Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), made the following personnel announcement. Eric Einhorn has been appointed Chief of the Telecommunications Access Policy Division of the Wireline Competition Bureau. The Telecommunications Access Policy Division, among other things, administers the Commission's oversight over funds used to support universal service, Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS), and numbering resources. Since July 2002, Mr. Einhorn has been Acting Chief of the Telecommunications Access Policy Division. Prior to being named Acting Chief, Mr. Einhorn was Deputy Chief of the Division and a staff attorney in the Policy and Program Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau. Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Einhorn was an associate at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, LLP in Washington, D. C. in the Telecommunications Group and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City. After graduating from law school, Mr. Einhorn served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Roger G. Strand of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Mr. Einhorn received his J. D. cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1995, where he was an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review. Mr. Einhorn received a B. S. from Cornell University in 1992. -FCC- 1
