Walker Feaster III today announced staff changes in the Office of Inspector General. Thomas Bennett has been named to the newly created position of Assistant Inspector General for Universal Service Fund (USF) Oversight. The Assistant Inspector General for USF Oversight is responsible for establishing and managing effective oversight of the Commission’s USF program. Mr. Bennett previously served as the Assistant Inspector General for Audits. Mr. Bennett has worked in the Office of Inspector General in various capacities since 1994 and has served as the Assistant Inspector General for Audits since 1999. Thomas Cline, previously serving as the Director of Program Audits, has been named as the Assistant Inspector General for Audits. The Assistant Inspector General for Audits is responsible for directing, planning, organizing and managing the work of the Audit Staff and for effective and efficient use of resources consistent with the Office of Inspector General’s audit program policy and directives. Mr. Cline has served as the Director of Program Audits in the Office of Inspector General since 2000. Robert Shipp, previously serving as the Director of Contract Audits, has been named to the newly created position of Director of Contract and Performance Audits. The Director of Contract and Performance Audits is responsible for audits of Commission contracts and for performance audits of Commission program and operations. Mr. Shipp has worked in the Office of Inspector General in various capacities since 1996 and has served as the Director of Contract Audits since 2000. - FCC - 1
