Copps today announced the following changes to his staff: Jessica Rosenworcel has been named Competition and Universal Service Legal Advisor. Ms. Rosenworcel joined the Commission in May 1999. She presently serves as legal counsel to the Wireline Competition Bureau Chief. Prior to her current position, she was an attorney in the Policy and Program Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau. In her years with the Commission, Ms. Rosenworcel has worked on a wide variety of issues involving implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Rosenworcel was an associate with the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath. Ms. Rosenworcel received her J. D. from New York University School of Law. She graduated with a B. A. in Economics from Wesleyan University. Jordan Goldstein will continue to serve as Senior Legal Advisor. In addition to his duties as senior advisor, Mr. Goldstein will serve as Media and Consumer Protection Legal Advisor. Alexis Johns, who currently serves as Media and Consumer Protection Legal Advisor, will be joining the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau. Commissioner Copps stated, “I thank Alex for her counsel and advice on media issues. She will be missed in my office, and by me personally, but I look forward to working with her in her new capacity.
