DBS8402 SAT- MOD- 20030205- 00032 P DIRECTV, Inc. has filed an application for modification of its relevant Direct Broadcast Satellite system authorizations to reflect the relocation of the DIRECTV 3 satellite into a storage orbit. DIRECTV is authorized to provide DBS service from 32 DBS channels at 101° W. L., 3 DBS Channels at 110° W. L., and 11 DBS Channels at 119° W. L. The DIRECTV 3 satellite was clustered with several other DIRECTV satellites at the 101° W. L. orbital location. Pursuant to special temporary authority, after a failure of its satellite control processor, the DIRECTV 3 satellite was relocated from 101° W. L. and moved to a storage orbit 308 kilometers above the geostationary orbit. Adjustments were made to the positions of certain other DIRECTV satellites collocated at 101° W. L. to ensure continuity of service the DIRECTV's DBS subscribers. DIRECTV seeks to formally modify its relevant system authorizations to reflect these changes. Page 2 of 2 2
