C. - John Muleta, Chief of the FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau has announced that John Branscome will serve in the Bureau Chief’s Office as a Legal Advisor. Branscome will advise the Bureau Chief and Deputies on wireless regulatory issues, including matters before the Bureau’s Auctions and Industry Analysis Division. Branscome has served as an Attorney Advisor in the Commercial Wireless Division of the Bureau since November 1999, and immediately prior to his new appointment, he was detailed to the office of Commissioner Kathleen Q. Abernathy as Acting Legal Advisor for wireless and international issues. Before joining the Commission, Branscome was an attorney at the law firm of Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP.
