 The  applications  listed  below  have  been  found,  upon  initial  review,  to  be  acceptable  for  filing.  The  Commission  reserves  the  right  to  return  any  of  the  applications  if,  upon  further  examination,  it  is  determined  the  application  is  not  in

 XM  Radio,  Inc.  ("  XM  Radio")  requests  Special  Temporary  Authority  ("  STA")  to  operate  up  to  5000  signal  boosters  with  an  Effective 
 Isotropically  Radiated  Power  ("  EIRP")  of  0.0001  watts  in  its  licensed  frequency  band  (2332.5-  2345  MHz)  at  retail  outlets  throughout 
 the  United  States  in  order  to  provide  a  clear  signal  for  reception  by  Satellite  Digital  Audio  Radio  Service  ("  SDARS")  receivers  located 
 inside  of  retail  stores  and  installation  bays.  These  signal  boosters,  or  "micro-  repeaters",  will  be  jointly  owned  by  XM  Radio  and  Sirius 
 Satellite  Radio,  Inc.  ("  Sirius"),  which  has  filed  an  identical  application  for  Special  Temporary  Authority  to  operate  such  signal  boosters 
 in  the  2320-  2332.5  MHz  frequency  band.  See  File  No.  SAT-  STA-  20030411-  00075.  XM  Radio  certifies  that  its  operation  of  in-  store 
 signal  boosters  will  comply  with  the  conditions  the  Commission  imposed  in  granting  XM  Radio's  original  STA  to  operate  terrestrial 
 repeaters.  See  16  FCC  Rcd  16781  (Int'l  Bur.  2001).

 Sirius  Satellite  Radio,  Inc.  ("  Sirius")  requests  Special  Temporary  Authority  ("  STA")  to  operate  up  to  5000  signal  boosters  with  an
