C. – Meribeth McCarrick has been named Associate Director of the FCC’s Office of Media Relations. Ms. McCarrick has worked at the FCC since 1994. Most recently, she served as the Public Affairs Specialist in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. In that position she was responsible for media relation activities for all Bureau issues including E911, wireless local number portability, auctions, public safety and private wireless as well as various other spectrum related issues. Prior to that she served as a Public Affairs Specialist in the FCC’s Office of Public Affairs where she handled a variety of media relations activities including serving as the public affairs liaison with the FCC’s International Bureau. Ms. McCarrick joined the Commission in 1994 as the Special Assistant for Outreach to the FCC Chief Economist in the Office of Plans and Policy. David Fiske, Director of the Office of Media Relations said, “Meribeth McCarrick brings to the Office of Media Relations extensive experience on press and public policy issues, and will help the Commission with a focus on spectrum, homeland security, FCC task force issues and special events and forums.” Ms. McCarrick received an M.
