 CORRECTIONS 
 This  application  appeared  on  Public  Notice,  Report  No.  SAT-  00165  (released  September  24,  2003)  and  excluded  specific 
 frequency  bands  in  error.  There  will  be  no  separate  dismissal  action.  The  correct  Public  Notice  entry  is  included  here  and 
 computation  for  the  comment  period  of  the  entire  satellite  application  will  begin  today. 


 EchoStar  Satellite  Corporation  has  filed  an  application  to  construct,  launch  and  operate  a  fixed-  satellite  service  satellite  using  the 
 10.7-  10.75  GHz,  11.2-  11.45  GHz,  12.75-  13.0  GHz,  13.15-  13.2  GHz  frequency  bands  at  the  101°  WL  orbital  location.  The 
 satellite  will  have  18  transponders  each  of  27  MHz  usable  bandwidth,  with  full  frequency  reuse  of  up  to  300  MHz  of  spectrum  on 
 both  the  uplink  and  downlink  paths.  Proposed  services  will  primarily  be  direct-  to-  home  satellite  service  to  large  numbers  of 
 small  receive-  only  terminals  located  in  the  United  States,  Puerto  Rico  and  the  US  Virgin  Islands,  as  well  as  to  other  parts  of  North 
 and  Central  America  and  the  Caribbean,  including  Canada  and  Mexico.  Services  will  be  offered  on  a  non-  common  carrier  basis. 
 The  TT&  C  frequencies  will  be  at  the  edges  of  the  extended  Ku-  frequency  bands. 


 EchoStar  requests  a  waiver  of  47  C.  F.  R.  Sec.  25.210(  e)  to  the  extent  required  to  permit  operation  of  the  proposed  extended 
 Ku-  band  payloads  by  way  of  circular  polarization.  EchoStar  states  that  it  does  not  need  to  request  a  waiver  of  footnote  NG104  to 
 the  Table  of  Frequency  Allocations,  47  C.  F.  R.  Sec.  2.106,  for  extended  Ku-  band  frequencies  to  provide  domestic  service  since  its 
 proposed  satellite  should  qualify  as  "international  systems."  EchoStar  states  it  intends  to  provide  protection  to  the  Radio 
 Astronomy  Service  in  the  adjacent  10.68-  10.7  GHz  band  as  required  by  footnote  US211  of  the  U.  S.  Table  of  Frequency 
 Allocations.
