 1.  On  September  17,  2003,  the  Commission  released  a  Notice  of  Proposed  Rulemaking,  FCC  03-  223,  in  the  above  captioned  proceeding.  This  erratum  makes  the  following  corrections  to  the 
 Notice  of  Proposed  Rulemaking: 
 (a)  Revise  paragraph  57  by  replacing  the  sentence  “Currently,  the  Commission’s  rules  do  not  address  re-  evaluation  intervals  for  laboratories  that  submit  Part  15  and  Part  18  test  data  for  certification,” 


 with,  “Currently  the  Commission’s  rules  do  not  address  re-  evaluation  intervals  for  laboratories  that  test  devices  for  Part  15  and  Part  18  compliance.” 


 (b)  Revise  Section  2.948  of  Appendix  A:  Proposed  Rule  Changes  to  remove  proposed  changes  to  paragraph  2.948(  a)(  2).  The  aforementioned  paragraph  was  revised  in  the  Second  Report  and  Order  and 
 Memorandum  Opinion  and  Order  in  ET  Docket  No.  01-  278,  released  July  17,  2003.  The  text  of  paragraph  2.948(  a)(  2)  shall  continue  to  read  as  adopted  in  that  Order. 


 (c)  Revise  paragraph  2.948(  d)  of  Appendix  A:  Proposed  Rule  Changes  to  read,  “A  laboratory  that  has  been  accredited  with  a  scope  covering  the  required  measurements  shall  be  deemed  competent  to  test 
 and  submit  test  data  for  equipment  subject  to  verification,  Declaration  of  Conformity,  and  certification.  Such  a  laboratory  shall  be  accredited  by  an  approved  accreditation  organization  based  on  the  International 
 Organization  for  Standardization/  International  Electrotechnical  Commission  (ISO/  IEC)  Standard  17025,  “General  Requirements  for  the  Competence  of  Calibration  and  Testing  Laboratories.”  The  organization 
 accrediting  the  laboratory  must  be  approved  by  the  Commission's  Office  of  Engineering  and  Technology,  as  indicated  in  §  0.241  of  this  chapter,  to  perform  such  accreditation  based  on  ISO/  IEC  58,  “Calibration 
 and  Testing  Laboratory  Accreditation  Systems--  General  Requirements  for  Operation  and  Recognition.”  The  frequency  for  revalidation  of  the  test  site  and  the  information  that  is  required  to  be  filed,  or  retained 
 by  the  testing  party  shall  comply  with  the  requirements  established  by  the  accrediting  organization.  However,  in  all  cases,  test  site  revalidation  shall  occur  on  an  interval  not  to  exceed  two  years.” 


 (d)  Revise  paragraph  15.247(  a)(  6)(  ii)(  B)  of  Appendix  A:  Proposed  Rule  Changes  to  read,  “Total  power  must  be  reduced  by  1  dB  for  each  3  dB  of  directional  gain  above  6  dB  of  the  antenna/  array  device, 
 as  defined  in  paragraph  (iv)  below.”

 2.  Accordingly,  IT  IS  ORDERED  that  this  Erratum  IS  ISSUED  pursuant  to  Section  0.241  of  the  Commission’s  rules  on  delegated  authority,  47  C.  F.  R.  §  0.241,  and  that  these  corrections  SHALL  BE 
 INCLUDED  in  the  Notice  of  Proposed  Rulemaking  prior  to  its  publication  in  the  Federal  Register.
