Patrich@ fcc. gov FCC WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS IN BROADBAND DIVISION Washington, D. C. – Today, John B. Muleta, Chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, announced that Stephen Buenzow has been appointed Associate Division Chief and Peter Corea has been appointed Special Counsel of WTB’s Broadband Division. Mr. Buenzow previously served as a Senior Engineer in the Technical Analysis Branch of WTB’s former Public Safety and Private Wireless Division. In this capacity, he was responsible resolving issues and advising the division on a wide range of technical and licensing issues related to fixed wireless services, including Fixed Microwave, Broadcast Auxiliary, MVDDS, 24GHz, 39GHz, and LMDS. Prior to that, he served as Acting Chief of the Technical Analysis Section and was an Engineer in the Microwave Branch of the former Private Radio Bureau. Mr. Buenzow joined the FCC in 1992 through the FCC’s Engineer in Training Program and holds a B. S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Mr. Corea most recently served as an Attorney Advisor in the Policy Division of the FCC’s Media Bureau where he primarily worked on the broadband- over- cable modem and Digital Television transition proceedings. Before joining the Commission in 2002, Mr. Corea was an attorney with the law firm of Swidler Berlin Shereff & Friedman and served as Assistant General Counsel in the Cable Television Division of the Massachusetts Department of Telecom & Energy. Mr. Corea earned his J. D., M. S. in Communications, and B.
