Wise@ fcc. gov ENFORCEMENT BUREAU NAMES ASSISTANT CHIEF OF INVESTIGATIONS & HEARINGS DIVISION Washington, D. C. – Eric Bash has been named Assistant Division Chief of the Investigations and Hearings Division. His responsibilities include managing and supervising audits and investigations of potential violations of the Commission’s competition and universal service rules for common carriers, as well as other matters. Since joining the FCC in 1996, Mr. Bash has served in a number of Bureaus as an Attorney Advisor, including the Common Carrier Bureau, Policy and Program Planning Division, where he reviewed 271 applications and applications for transfers of control. Mr. Bash comes to the Enforcement Bureau from the Media Bureau’s Policy Division, where he also served as a Special Counsel to the Commission’s Localism Task Force. Prior to the FCC, Mr. Bash investigated and prosecuted consumer protection matters in federal courts for the Federal Trade Commission. He received his A. B. magna cum laude from Duke University and his J. D. from the University of Pennsylvania. -FCC- 1
