C. – Kenneth Ferree, Chief of the Media Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), has named Rebecca Fisher as the Bureau’s new Special Advisor on Media Relations. Ms. Fisher most recently served as press secretary for the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee. The Committee has jurisdiction over a broad range of telecommunications issues. Ferree said, “I am thrilled that Rebecca has joined the Media Bureau as our spokesperson. Rebecca’s experience with the press and with the substantive issues that the Bureau deals with on a daily basis will be a tremendous asset to the Bureau.” Before joining the Senate Commerce Committee’s staff in early 2003, Ms. Fisher was Senator John McCain’s press secretary.
