Kimball@ fcc. gov DATES SET FOR COMMENTS ON TELECOMMUNICATIONS RELAY SERVICES REPORT AND ORDER, ORDER ON RECONSIDERATION, AND FURTHER NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING Comments due October 18, 2004; reply comments due November 15, 2004 Washington, DC – On June 30, 2004, the FCC released a Report and Order, Order on Reconsideration, and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM), FCC 04- 137, seeking comment on cost recovery and other matters relating to the provision of telecommunications relay services (TRS) pursuant to Title IV of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Comments relating to the rulemaking are due 45 days after the FNPRM is published in Federal Register, and reply comments are due 75 days following publication in the Federal Register. Reply comments are filed after the comments are received and offer an opportunity to “reply” to the original comments. The FNPRM was published in the Federal Register on September 1, 2004 (69 FR 53382). Therefore, comments are due on October 18, 2004, and reply comments are due on November 15, 2004. Comments should be filed according to the instructions provided in the FNPRM.
