(EchoStar) has filed an application for modification of its authorization to operate a Ka- band Fixed Satellite Service at 123° W. L. EchoStar proposes to relocate this satellite to the 117° W. L. orbital location and proposes to provide service to North America. The satellite will use the 18.3- 18.8 GHz and 19.7- 20.2 GHz downlink bands and the 28.35- 28.6 GHz and 29.25- 30.0 GHz uplink bands. S2394 SAT- MOD- 20041013- 00199 E Modification 10/ 13/ 2004 18: 29: 49: 46300 Date Filed: Intelsat LLC Intelsat LLC has filed an application for modification of its authorization for the INTELSAT 605 satellite. INTELSAT 605 is authorized to operate, and has been operating, at the 32.9º E. L. location. Intelsat requests modification of its license to relocate INTELSAT 605 from its current location to 178.0º E. L. and to operate at that location. INTELSAT 605 will be moved from the 32.9° E. L. location upon the transfer of its traffic to INTELSAT 802, which is planned for October 2004. INTELSAT 605 is expected to be at the 178.0º E. L. location in March/ April 2005. At its new location, INTELSAT 605 will operate in an inclined orbit mode in the 14000- 14500, 11450- 11700, 10950- 11200, 5850- 6425, and 3625- 4200 MHz frequency bands. See related application for special temporary authority, File No. SAT- STA- 20041018- 00203. SAT- STA- 20041012- 00198 E Special Temporary Authority 10/ 12/ 2004 16: 08: 47: 39600 Date Filed: SES Americom, Inc. Page 1 of 3 1 SES AMERICOM, Inc. has filed a request for special temporary authority to locate the AMC- 15 Ku/ Ka- band hybrid satellite at the 117º W. L. and 113º W. L. orbital locations and to operate the spacecraft’s Ka- band payload and Ku- band TT& C payload for a period of two months at each of those locations. SES AMERICOM requests expedited action on this request. AMC- 15, a Ku/ Ka- band satellite, was launched on October 15, 2004 and is licensed to operate at the 105º W. L. orbital position. SES AMERICOM is authorized to test the Ku- and Ka- band payloads of AMC- 15 at the 136º W. L. orbital location prior to commencing operations at 105º W. L. (See File No. SAT- STA- 20040622- 00118). Following the test period, SES AMERICOM proposes to drift the AMC- 15 satellite to 117° W. L. (with its Ku- and Ka- band payloads turned off other than TT& C functions), where it will be stationed from about December 15, 2004 to about February 15, 2005. Operations from this location will use only the Ka- band payload and the Ku- band TT& C payload. SES AMERICOM proposes to drift the AMC- 15 satellite to 113° W. L. (again with its Ku- and Ka- band payloads turned off other than TT& C functions), where it will be stationed from about March 1, 2005 to about May 1, 2005. Operations from this location will use only the Ka- band payload and the Ku- band TT& C payload. Finally, SES AMERICOM will drift the AMC- 15 satellite to 105° W. L. (with its Ku- and Kaband payloads turned off other than TT& C functions) in time to commence operations over both its Ku- and Ka- band payloads by May 15, 2005. EchoStar Satellite LLC has filed a related earth station application. See File No. SES- STA- 20041019- 01564; Call Sign E030038.
