McCarrick@ fcc. gov FCC DIVERSITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE LAUNCHES NEW WEB RESOURCE DIRECTORY Washington, D. C. - The FCC Federal Advisory Committee on Diversity for Communications in the Digital Age today launched a new web tool, the Diversity Resource Directory, geared to assist companies with their diversity efforts. The webpage is a one- stop resource for industry executives, human resources personnel, and employees to go to for assistance in establishing a program that will enhance development of a company’s workforce. The new webpage may be accessed at: http:// www. fcc. gov/ DiversityFAC/ directory. html The online Directory will contain detailed information on the diversity efforts implemented at various organizations, on diversity studies, employment research, and trade association and foundation programs that focus on creating and maintaining a diverse workforce. The webpage will also include the following materials and hyperlinks: trade association websites identified by the Committee; industry- related websites; industry- related training programs, including criteria and contact information; research studies; survey results; white papers and reports, including the Career Advancement Subcommittee’s “Best Practices Report;” and pertinent news articles, features and other diversity- focused resources. Development of the webpage is ongoing and the public is invited to share suggestions for materials to post to the webpage. FCC staff in the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis assist the Advisory Committee and maintain the webpage.
