INFORMATIVE E970381 SES- MOD- 20050301- 00261 Globalstar USA, LLC Modification of blanket license authorization for mobile earth station terminals (" METs") Globalstar USA, LLC (" GUSA") is requesting authority to implement an Ancillary Terrestrial Component (" ATC") for the Globalstar above 1 GHz, or 'Big LEO, ' mobile satellite service (" MSS") system. GUSA is seeking to modify its earth station license to offer dual- mode MSS/ ATC user terminals to its current and future customers. The proposed ATC base stations and antennas will transmit in the 2487.5- 2493 MHz band and receive in the 1610- 1615.5 MHz band using methods similar to those currently deployed by terrestrial cellular and PCS systems.
