ADELSTEIN ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF LEGAL ADVISOR RUDY BRIOCHÉ AND CONFIDENTIAL ASSISTANT AMBER DANTER Washington, DC – FCC Commissioner Jonathan S. Adelstein announced today that Rudy Brioché and Amber Danter have been appointed to his staff. Brioché will join the office as the Commissioner’s Legal Advisor on media issues. He most recently served as Legislative Counsel to U. S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (D- NJ). “I am very pleased to have Rudy join us. He is renowned for his solid judgment and commitment to promoting good policy in the media field. I am grateful to Senator Lautenberg, and look forward to having Rudy work with me at the FCC during this critical time in the history of media policy.” Brioché previously worked as Washington Bureau Counsel for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). He also clerked with Chief Judge Robert M. Bell of the Court of Appeals of Maryland and with Judge Andre M. Davis of the United States District Court in Baltimore, Maryland. He holds a BA from Rutgers University, a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law, and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Commissioner Adelstein also expressed his deep appreciation to Eric Bash, who was detailed to the Commissioner’s office to assist on media issues. Adelstein said “Eric truly has done an amazing job for me. He skillfully tackled a number of challenging issues during the past three months, and I wish him the best of luck as he returns to the Enforcement Bureau. Eric is a nine-year veteran of the FCC, and he exemplifies the professionalism and dedication that is so valued throughout the agency.” Commissioner Adelstein also announced that Amber Danter has joined his office as his Confidential Assistant. Danter most recently spent seven years serving as scheduler and special assistant to former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Amber again after working together for five years in the Daschle office. Her deep experience in helping to schedule and administer that extremely busy office should prove incredibly valuable. On top of her intelligence and professionalism, she is simply a wonderful person.” She is a graduate of Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. 1 Adelstein also announced that Geraldine Taylor, his former Confidential Assistant, has taken a position in the Office of the Secretary. “Geraldine was a key member of our team during the past 12 months.
