Copps announced today that Paul Margie, his Spectrum and International Legal Advisor, will be leaving the Commission to serve as Senior Director for Technology Partnerships at the United Nations Foundation. Copps stated: “In my mind, Paul personifies public service at its best. His creative intelligence, practical good judgment and never- wavering commitment to the public interest have contributed immeasurably to good public policy outcomes. I am grateful for his work and for his always cooperative and engaging demeanor. Paul turns now from bringing the wonders of modern telecommunications to citizens of our country to bringing these essential tools to people around the world. All of us in the Copps office wish him well in this profoundly important work, and we look forward to our continuing warm friendship with this remarkable young man.” Copps also announced that John Giusti has been detailed to his office to assist in handling spectrum and international issues. Mr. Giusti currently serves as Assistant Bureau Chief of the International Bureau where he is responsible for the Bureau’s work with other regulators, foreign governments and international organizations. During his more than ten years at the Commission, he has held positions in the International and Wireline Competition Bureaus.
