SES Americom, Inc. has filed a request for special temporary authority to permit it to test its AMC- 23 spacecraft at 170º W. L. for a period of up to 120 days following launch. Launch of the spacecraft is currently scheduled for December 2005. SES states that temporary operation of AMC- 23 at 170º W.
