SAT- STA- 20051130- 00257 E Special Temporary Authority 11/ 30/ 2005 16: 50: 28: 08600 Date Filed: EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation EchoStar Satellite Operating Corporation has filed an application for special temporary authority to permit it to test its new EchoStar 10 spacecraft at 138.5° W. L. for a period of up to 90 days following launch. EchoStar 10 is a Direct Broadcast Satellite satellite that EchoStar proposes to operate at the 110° W. L. orbital location. (See File No. SAT- LOA- 20051221- 00267.) EchoStar states that temporary operation of EchoStar 10 at 138.5° W. L. will permit testing to occur without disruption to existing customers at 110° W. L. and will not adversely affect the operation of any other carrier’s spacecraft or other authorized spectrum users. EchoStar 10 is tentatively scheduled to launch in early February 2006.
