Circ 1974). FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: News Media contact: March 17, 2006 Jessica Rosenworcel at (202) 418- 2000 COMMISSIONER COPPS ANNOUNCES STAFF CHANGES Commissioner Michael J. Copps announced today that Jordan Goldstein, his Senior Legal Advisor, will be leaving the Commission. Copps stated: “On coming to the FCC almost five years ago, I knew that I wanted Jordan as Senior Advisor the first time I talked with him. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have encountered many talented people during my years of public service. None surpassed Jordan or combined his unique array of talents and character. His acute intelligence, unerring good judgment and incredible dedication to serving the public interest helped steer our office through many difficult issues and challenges and contributed to improving not only my decision-making, but I believe that of my colleagues, too. There wasn’t an issue that came to me that Jordan hadn’t always clearly mastered. He can and should take great pride in a job well and superbly done. I thank him. I thank Hillary, Evan and Peter for sharing him with us. And I look forward to the pleasure of his continuing friendship over the years. Everyone in the Copps Office joins in wishing our colleague and friend, and his family, all good things on the road ahead.” Copps also announced that Jessica Rosenworcel will become his Senior Legal Advisor. “I am pleased that Jessica has agreed to serve as my Senior Advisor. She is an individual of tremendous ability, dedication and character. During her tenure in my office, she has demonstrated consistent good judgment, incisive knowledge and keen policy savvy on a broad range of telecom and related issues. I have seen in her the character, tenacity and leadership skills required of the Senior Advisor, and I count myself fortunate that she will be serving in this lead position.” Copps announced one addition to his office. “I am pleased to announce that Bruce Liang Gottlieb will be joining my staff as Legal Advisor. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Bruce has practiced law most recently at Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis and before that at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale & Dorr. He clerked for the Honorable David S. Tatel of the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. He also has served as a staff writer for Slate Magazine and contributed numerous pieces to such publications as The New York Times Magazine. He has made many friends and admirers wherever he goes, and I am confident he will do the same here at the FCC.” - FCC - 1
