McDowell announced the hiring of Brigid Nealon Calamis as Confidential Assistant. Brigid Calamis has expansive experience in the communications industry, during which time she worked in the government relations and public affairs departments of the National Association of Broadcasters and CompTel, a trade association representing telecommunications entrepreneurs, where she previously worked with Commissioner McDowell. She most recently provided public affairs support for technology and communications clients at Dittus Communications. Ms. Calamis graduated from Davidson College. Regarding the announcement, Commissioner McDowell said, “I look forward to working with Brigid again as we tackle the many issues facing the Commission.
