 STATEMENT  OF  COMMISSIONER  DEBORAH  TAYLOR  TATE  CONGRATULATING  CHAIRMAN  KEVIN  J.  MARTIN  ON  HIS  RECONFIRMATION 
 Last  week,  the  Senate  confirmed  Kevin  Martin  for  another  term  as  Chairman  of  the  FCC.  I  would  like  to  publicly  thank  my  Senator,  the  Majority  Leader,  for  moving  this  item  forward. 
 As  I  have  stated  before,  this  is  good  news  for  consumers,  for  competition,  and  for  the  Commission.  Under  Chairman  Martin’s  leadership  we  will  continue  to  move  toward 
 technology-  neutral  policies  to  spur  economic  growth,  balanced  with  the  public  interest.  Best  congratulations  to  Chairman  Martin.  I  look  forward  to  working  with  him  as  we  face  the  complex 
 and  yet  exciting  days  ahead  for  these  innovative  sectors  of  our  economy.
