DIRECTV seeks to perform telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) functions during the drift of its DIRECTV 1R satellite from its current orbital position at 100.85° W.L. to 72.5° W.L. Subject to regulatory approvals, at 72.5° W.L. control of the satellite would pass to Telesat Canada and would be pursuant to an authorization from Industry Canada.
