SAT-STA-20061102-00128 E Special Temporary Authority 11/02/2006 12:28:16:51000Date Filed: Intelsat North America LLC Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat) has filed a request for Special Temporary Authority (STA) for a period of sixty days in connection with the drift of the INTELSAT 601 C- and Ku-band satellite from its current location at 63.65° E.L. to 47.5° E.L. Intelsat requests authority to conduct Tracking, Telemetry and Command operations of the INTELSAT 601 satellite. Intelsat indicates that, at the 47.5° E.L. orbital location, the satellite would operate under an authorization from Germany, issued to Europe*Star Gesellschaft Fur Satellitenkommunikation mbH (Europe*Star). Europe*Star is a company that is 51 percent owned by PanAmSat Europe Corporation (PanAmSat Europe), a Delaware Company that is wholly owned by Intelsat Corporation (f/k/a/ PanAmSat Corporation).
