The hearing date, time, and location are as follows: Date: Thursday, June 28, 2007 Time: 4pm-11pm Location: Portland High School 284 Cumberland Avenue Portland, ME 04101 Link to Portland High School: http://portland.portlandschools.org Link to Portland High School Directions: http://portland.portlandschools.org/main/homeroom.htm The purpose of the hearing is to gather information from consumers, industry, civic organizations, and others on broadcasters’ service to their local communities. Along with competition and diversity, promoting localism is a key goal of the Commission’s media ownership rules. The hearing format will enable members of the public to participate via an “open microphone” session. Further details will be released as they become available.
