It will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at approximately 12:00 p.m. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the challenges associated with ensuring that consumers with disabilities receive accurate and timely information regarding the digital television transition. The Workshop discussion will also explore ways to develop coordinated consumer education activities. As with past DTV Consumer Education Workshops, the program will include demonstrations of digital-to-analog converter boxes by CEA and some of its member companies. An agenda for the Workshop is attached. A live, open-captioned webcast of the hearing will be available at the FCC’s website at http://www.fcc.gov/realaudio/#feb28 on a first-come, first-served basis. The webcast will remain available after the Workshop in the FCC’s website archives. During the Workshop, the public can e-mail questions for the panelists to dtvworkshop@fcc.gov.
