Of this announcement, Chairman Martin said, “It is with deep regret that I announce that Sam Feder, who served as our General Counsel for the past two and a half years, is leaving the Commission to become a partner at Jenner and Block. The Commission is losing an extraordinary individual. Sam provided exceptional legal advice on every matter we faced and also played a crucial role in policy development. He will be sorely missed by all of us.” Mr. Feder was appointed General Counsel in June 2005; prior to that he served as Chairman Martin’s Legal Advisor for spectrum and international issues.
